Restaurants Tap Into the CBD Popularity 

 

CBD increases in popularity in states where it is legal and is expected to grow through snack foods and beverages as consumers become more comfortable and knowledgeable of the product.  This opens a whole new market for restaurants as consumers consider a major pathway for CBD through food and beverage choices and many restaurants are already entering the space like Carl's Jr.   

 

New Overtime Pay From the DOL

 

Starting January 1, 2020 about 1.3 million Americans in the restaurant industry will see an increase in their compensation if their annual salary does not exceed $35,568.  This includes over time pay to restaurant managers, assistant managers, executive chefs and other managerial staff members.
